Anger: causes, problems and management

 

Anger is the most common personality disorder that spoils relationships in everyday life.

 

Why do we get angry?

 

1. Thinking that the other persons’ status and their thinking power are below your level and dignity.

 

2. Full of egoism: If the other person disagree with your thoughts, immediately, you feel that they showed disrespect to your image and personality (’I’ mentality) and you get anger.

 

3. Stubbornness: you expect that, whatever you wish that it must be carried down by the others, under any circumstances. Otherwise you will not tolerate and develop angry mood.

 

4. Authoritative mentality: Having bossism type attitude while dealing with others.

 

5. Habituated to controlling everybody and everything.

 

6. Having the inferiority complex attitude.

 

7. Being under the misconception that by exhibiting anger, it is easy to keep others well under your control or command.

 

Bad effects or problems due to anger:

 

1. Anger causes physical and mental troubles-like,

 

-Headache, Hyper- acidity, pains in neck region,
-Lack of concentration in doing any work/studies, etc.

 

2. Your friend show disinterest in speaking to you.

 

3. You feel too-much stress

 

4. You rarely laugh with your relatives/friends and your relationship with them get spoiled

 

5. People talk something before you and exactly opposite thing behind you

 

6. Your moods are not under your control, that is, you don’t when you get angry or when you are in normal condition

 

7. Nobody dares to give any valuable suggestion to you, as you think that what you know is the only correct thing.

 

8. After some days, you begin to get angry upon yourself and also develop inferiority complex.

9. You develop insecurity and begin to lose confidence in others.

 

10. First of all you get angry upon others and after wards you begin to repent like that and same situation continuously will be repeated by you.

 

How to control or avoid the anger:

 

1. Read the biographies of famous persons (at least 1or2 persons) in the world and among many of them are the persons who conquered the anger.

 

2. Examine yourself and find out the causes of anger and write them on the paper.

 

3. When you get anger, think about one humorous scene in a cinema, your anger will be vanished in no time.

 

4. Count at least 50 (not 10) numbers, the anger will leave you.

 

5. Ask yourself, “What I am going to achieve by exhibiting this anger?”

 

6. Change your way of thinking and be positive in your attitude and be patient and everything will be alright in the days to come.

 

The golden rule is: “No anger—no worry’’, but only happiness always surrounding you. Also keep it in mind that, “Somebody brings happiness wherever they go and somebody brings happiness whenever they go”.
