Sri Sri Ravishankar and Art of Living

Art of Living guru Sri Ravi Shankar says cultivate the habit of patient listening, without any thoughts or preconceived notions, go to a place where everything is beautiful, which is with in you. When you come to this place (then no other place), appears beautiful like this.

Learning some thing about our breath is very important. Our breather’s rhythm is corresponding to the rhythm in the mind. For every rhythm in the breath, there is a corresponding emotion in the mind. So you cannot handle the mind directly, but you can handle the mind through breath.

Nobody either at school or at home, teaches you what to do when you’re angry, upset or depressed.

When you come to this world, the first thing we do is to take a deep breath and we start to cry.

The last thing we will be doing is we will breathe out and make others cry.

In between the whole life, we are breathing in and breathing out.

The golden word is

“No breathe –No life”,

Know breathe – Know life.

7 layers of existence according to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar:

1. The body

2. Breathe

3. Mind

4. Intellect

5. Memory

6. Ego

7. The self.

This is called art of living by Sri Ravishankar.

It makes you to be in the present moment, and it helps you to maintain the innocence that we are all borne free and feel at home with every body anywhere.
Take one week off every year for yourself that is just like taking car for servicing.

During this time be align with nature wake-up with sunrise, do some exercise eat only necessary amount of food, also do some breathing exercise, do a few minutes of singing and spend some silent movements enjoying the Creation.

Also enjoy the sight seeing by visiting beautiful places located in this world. Then you find that everyday is a vacation and a celebration. Thus we will find a beautiful place every where we work and life (given by GOD), becomes useful and purposeful.
