7 tips for happy and successful life

 

Researchers at Boston University conducted a research on the causes of longer life span in some persons.

 

Tips for happiness in life:

 

1. Genes: The effect of genes on longer life is 20%-30% only. Life style is the major factor in deciding longer life time.

 

Ex: 7th Adventists – They live longer because of their life style. They stay away from alcohol, tobacco and caffeine products.

 

2. Relationships: Happily married people live longer than lonely living persons. Men live at least 7 years more and women add two years to their life span. Married persons having heart disease lived 4 years more than unmarried lonely persons without any heart disease. Maintain healthy relationships with family members, relatives, friends and neighbors.

 

3. Contentment: Contentment in life decreases stress and strain on the body and mind. It helps to increase the life span.

 

4. Vegetarian Diet: It is better to take vegetarian food like fruits and vegetables in which Potassium and Sodium are present in 10:1 ratio which is good for our heart. They prevent cancer as they contain anti oxidants. Fast foods contain more Sodium than Potassium. Sodium increases the blood pressure.

 

5. Adventures with enthusiasm: Life without any bold acts brings boredom. Occasionally do some adventures to make life beautiful. Ex. Climbing Mountains and Sea voyages.

 

6. Smile: Smile reduces stress and strain. Stress reduces body resistance (immunity) by producing Cortisone. Positive outlook towards life increases life span.

 

7. Exercise: Exercise to body and brain are essential to increase life time of a person. The ability of logic, thinking, and remembrance was full attained by the age of 20 years. From 20 years onwards, mental exercises keep the brain active. Highly educated persons doing high skilled jobs have less dementia.

 

Daily exercises like brisk walking and gardening for 30-45 minutes keeps the body away from any illnesses.
